So I was thinking about my blog. If a person were to look what I have posted on the current page it may look like I am switching to a different style with every post. Hmmm. I wonder if that will be a problem for me someday. I know it's kind of the thing to find your own style and stick with it. It's more predictable if you're working with clients and doing commissions, etc. But where is the fun in that! No, I actually admire artists that aren't so ADHD with their art and can focus on one niche. I guess I'm not there yet. I kind of go in spurts. Lately all I've wanted to do is draw in my sketchbook, which is often a considerably different style than my paintings. Hopefully if said person looked through my whole blog they'd see at least some consistency. Again all in good time! :) Art is a life time journey right? Friday, June 8, 2012

You sound a lot like me... Picking and niche and loving it is the hardest part!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so true? I often feel a lot of pressure to stick with something as well, because I listen too much to other people telling me that's what I have to do!
